Misc Stuff-AFC Update September 2012

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Well I know it has been over a month and a half since I last did a post, but I got some major stuff that I want to share with you guys, so hang on to your seats and get ready for the AFC Update for September 2012!!!!

1) AFC will be four years old this month-Well I can’t believe this myself, but in a little less than a weeks time this little site will be four years old. It feels like just yesterday I did my first post in which it launched a new and fresh voice on the world of Japanese animation. Well over the years I have been on fire and sometimes I have ran out of steam. This was due to me completing my college education and looking for full-time work afterwards. However, I am happy to say that now I finally have a full-time job at my previous employer as a Library Assistant so I am glad that bit of weight is off my shoulders. Like the old saying goes, “Good things come to those who wait”.

But I digress. While the last three years have taken a tole on me, I can promise you that you will be seeing a ton of more posts from me in the weeks to come. More on anime, more on manga, more on comics and a whole lot more. So keep your eyes pealed and your minds opened for more otaku goodness.

2) DC (New 52) Zero month is here-Now for all you comic book fans out there, this past week DC comics launched it’s “New 52” zero month campaign in which all the current titles are going to start at issue zero for all the new readers out there in which will consist of origin stories for each characters but not only that, their will be five new series that will be introduced as well including Swords of Sorcery and The Phantom Stranger just to name a few. And for those of you who want to know what you should read and what you should stay away from, don’t worry I will do all of that work for you!!!!

3) AFC is going to SanDiego Comic-Con 2013!!!!!-And now for one of the biggest announcements ever to hit in the history of AFC. I am happy to announce that I will be taking AFC on the road to SanDiego Comic Con 2013!!!! I will be spending the entire week perusing the show floor to see some of the great cosplayers, new comic books, toys, games and much much more. I will also be taking a look at some of the local comic book shops in the area and some famous landmarks that California has to offer. It’s going to be an interesting summer and one that you won’t want to miss.

And would you believe that it’s already getting cold outside. Well in my area it is, but I don’t know about you but I plan on catching up on some much needed anime,manga and comics to read. Hopefully I will be able to catch some of the new series that will be airing in Japan this fall. AFC Comics Explosion-Share Your Voice On DC Comics New 52!!!!

Hello and greetings fellow Otaku,

Now I don’t know about you, but I am a huge fan of DC Comics New 52. With tons of great titles including Batwoman, Batgirl, Batman and Robin, Teen Titans, and Hawk and Dove just to name a few, now would be a good time to get back into the world of comics. But for those of you who are familiar with these, your probably asking yourselves how can I share my opinion with DC to make the New 52 even better? Well here is your chance to do so.

Right now you can share your opinions with DC by taking an online survey or by visiting your local comic book shop by Friday July 6th. The survey will consist of questions about the New 52 and it’s readership. All you have to do is answer the questions honestly and to the best of your opinion. But even if you cant complete the survey online, the nice folks over at Nielsen NRG (The people who are conducting this survey) will be visiting local comic book shops all across the country during the next two weeks during the survey period to get your opinions on the New 52 via in person interviews. To find out if Nielsen NRG will be visiting your local comic book shop in the next two weeks, just give them a call or contact them via e-mail to see if they will be making a visit near you.

Misc Stuff-Happy New Year 2012 From Anime Full Circle!!!!!

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Well let me be the first to say welcome to the year 2012!!!!! Hopefully you all had a great 2011, but while I had some interesting moments this past year, their were some not so great moments in my life as well. However, I feel that this year is going to be the year of great success not only for me but for Anime Full Circle as well. But before I go into what I have in store for you guys this year, let me take just a moment to look back at AFC in 2011.

One thing to mention is that just this past month, we had manage to reach over 75,000 visitors on AFC. For me this is another great accomplishment that shows many of you are still loyal to us and that you find us an interesting source for the latest information about the world of Japanese Animation and Otaku Culture. But while I wasn’t able to post much this past year, one of my new year’s resolutions is going to be to post more often and come up with new and innovative ideas for the site.

But were not stopping at just new posts, I am also going to bring you tons of new anime, manga and video game reviews along with a look in the world of popular graphic novels including works from Marvel and DC Comics. This will bring a new meaning to AFC in which we will go full circle and beyond. So get ready guys for the release of Anime Full Circle 2.0, the rebirth of AFC!!!!!

Breaking News In Anime-CMX Manga To Shut Down This Summer

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Here is some breaking news for those of you who are supporters of such manga series as Emma, Tenjho Tenge and From Erotica with Love.

It has been recently announced that comic publisher DC Comics will be discontinuing the CMX Manga imprint on July 1, 2010. The company claims that they are closing shop due to the challenging manga marketplace in the United States. It is currently known that the series MegaTokyo will be continued under the DC Comics name in which it will not be affected by CMX’s closure. It is currently unknown about whether the other titles under the CMX name will be continued or will be ceased all together.

The company was formed back in 2004 in which it goal was to bring diverse manga titles into the U.S. The first three series that the company produced were Madara, Land of the Blindfolded and From Erotica with Love.
