So what is the series that I am talking about, I am talking about a dark anime that will send shivers or maybe some laughs your way know as Sparrow’s Hotel.

What Is This Series About?

The story revolves around Satou Sayuri, a young lady who comes to the Sparrow’s Hotel to interview for an open position in which she lists on her resume “Large Brest’s” and “Assassination” on her resume in which captures the attention of the manager Shiokawa Tamaki and is hired for the special taskforce and as a guard. However this brings more attention to the guests who stop in to stay for the night in which they see a somewhat of a middle schooler as the manager and his bodyguard as the front desk staff.

Why Should You Watch This Series?

So why should you watch this series, well I have to say that a young lady like Satou who has the skills of an assassin and the good looks to go with it, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her working the front desk at a hotel. And with the clientele that comes into the place, I can see why. Overall I feel that this is going to be on my top ten best new anime series for 2013.

And with that, this concludes our spring anime preview. Now there are tons of more series that are coming out that we would feature, but if you want to see what else is coming out, click on the link below and check out the other series that you may be interested in.

Afc First Looks-Spring Anime Season 2013 Pt.2 (Devil Survivor 2)

April 3, 2013

20121206_devil02_resize

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Well as promised we are continuing our look at the new anime series for spring 2013 with another anime series based off a video game called Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 the Animation.

Now for those of you may remember from a little over a year ago, Atlus the company who created popular game series as Persona and Devil Survivor released Persona 4 The Animation with mixed results. So when it was announced that they were diving into anime again, I was a bit hesitant but just take a look at the background of this series and you might just have a change of heart.

The story revolves around the characters know as the protagonist, his friend Daichi and there other friend Lo coming back from a mock entrance exam in which they receive a mysterious e-mail from a website known as Nicea which forecasts a persons death or a natural disaster in which they witness themselves in a video being killed in a subway accident. However they manage to survive the accident from a avatar from the site in which in turn become Devil Summoners to protect others from this same fate.

Why Should You Watch This

So why should you watch this series, well Atlus is getting back into the anime game again and hopefully this will get better reception than Persona 4 the Animation. Granted it was a good series but with the popularity of this game in Japan and in interesting story line to go with it, I see it being a major hit for hardcore anime fans.

So there is another preview in the books, and we got more coming so until next time. Remember that there is a ton of great anime and manga out there. All you have to do is find it. Ltrs.

Well the series revolves around the Edo Era in Japan in the 1700’s in which the government requests black boxes installed to have the commoners submit there thoughts. However a new magistrate known as the Mushibugyou is created to protect the citizens from harm.

Why You Should Watch

So why should you watch this series, well for one reason it is a series revolving the Edo period and with a cast of characters with different fighting styles, what else is there to mention. Afc First Looks-Persona 4 Anime Episodes One and Two!!!!! Part 1!!!!

October 20, 2011

persona-4-anime-260x152

Hello and greetings fellow Otaku,

So I promised you guys a little over two weeks ago that I was going to give you a first look at the new Persona 4 anime series. But due to a couple of unfortunate events in my life, I ended up getting a little bit sidetracked!!!! However, there is no need to worry because I am going to be covering the first two episodes for those of you who haven’t had a chance to see it yet or those of you who are still on the fence about watching this series. So without further a due, let get started.

Episode 1-Your Myself I’m Yourself

At the beginning of the episode, we are introduced to two characters named Igor and Margaret inside a limousine known as the Velvet Room. Igor tells us about the maim plot of the series in which people who enter the Velvet Room usually form a contract in which they enter a realm found between dream, reality, mind and matter in which we can be destined to face in the future. At the end of this particular scene, Margaret says farewell in which we will meet her again someday in the near future.

Next we meet the main protagonist of the series Yu Nakurumi. Yu is like any other normal teenager in Japan, however due to his parents receiving different job assignments all the time, he has a shallow outlook on life. We thus see Yu enter a small town known as Yasoinaba, a small town that is country like. Next we are introduced to Yu’s uncle,  Ryotaro Dojima and his daughter Nanako. Ryotaro complements Yu on how much he has grown over the years. though Yu doesn’t remember him all that well. Ryotaro mentions that it is tough for Yu to move from place to place because of his parents, but he is excited as he gets to spend the year with him.

During a brief stop at the local gas station, the gas station attendant offers a job to Yu in which he happily declines. The attendant says that he will be bored to his mind if he doesn’t find a job or something else to occupy his time. Once Yu’s uncle comes back from the restroom, Yu get a weird feeling in which he holds his head. Nanko worried about his health asks Yu if he was carsick. However, he politely declines that he is sick.

Later, we see Yu getting situated in his new home in which he reflects back about how he got into this situation in the first place by seeing him in front of the his former classmates in which his former teacher states that he will be transferring to a new school. We then see Yu starting to drift off to sleep in which he states, “So I am stuck here for a whole year here?”. Later we see a mysterious figure talking to Yu in a dream in which he asks him “Do you want to know the truth?” Yu in a state of shock figures that the mysterious person was just a dream and try’s to figure out his identity.

The rest of this episode is split into days, just as in the game. The next day we see Yu starting his first day of school at “Yasogami High”. The teacher in his homeroom class, states that he was kicked out of his home to live in the boondocks. He then tells Yu to introduce himself to the class. He does, but the teacher notices that he was staring at a young girl at the front of the class in which he was branded as an infidel in which he gets placed on the teachers S*** list. However the young girl stands up in Yu’s defense by asking the teacher to sit in the seat next to her. Once Yu sits down, the young girl tells him that the students call their teacher “King Moron”!!!!! In which she considers him as awful. Towards the end of the first half of the episode, Yu notices that fog was coming from the out side. We then cut to a scene in which we see another young lady walking to school in which she sees a dead body hanging from an television antenna. The young lady screams in shock in which we return to the school seeing that classes have ended for the day.

Ok, I know that the first half of this review is a little long(Just wanted to cover all the bases), but the rest of it is going to be in a cliffs notes style to summarize the rest of the episodes (No spoilers included!!!!). So lets take a quick break for some eye candy shall we!!!!!

EYE CANDY BREAK!!!!!

images

Ok, break over!!!!! Back to the review.

Once the class has adjourned, some of Yu’s classmates started talking about a new thing that has been gong around know as “The Midnight Channel”. Next, a warning announcement comes over the PA system in which they state that their was an accident on campus and it is urged that students take caution when walking home from the school grounds. It is then we are introduced to two new characters, Chie Satonaka and Yukiko Amagi. Another character named Harumuki is also introduced in which we see him returning a DVD to Chie damaged. He tells Chie that he will buy a replacement copy when his next paycheck arrives.

Next we see Yu’s uncle over at the crime scene where the young girl found the dead body on the television antenna. We then see his partner Adachi, look at the victim and went to throw up. Thus he still calls him a rookie and asks if he wants to return to headquarters. The scene ends when we see Yu’s uncle look up at the antenna commenting what a horrific site it was.

Next we are introduce to another new character, Youske Hanamura, a young boy who has a red pair of head phones and who works at a local department store in which his father is a department manager. Yu and Youske hit it off in which they go out to a local food court to get beef steak in which Chie meets up with them. While they were eating, a picture of Myumi Yamano, a local television announcer who died the other day.

In other things, the group starts discussing about the midnight channel. Yu in surprise did not know what it was about. Youske states that the channel shows up at midnight on rainy nights. Later that evening, Yu closes his curtains and sees an image of a young girl on his television screen. Thus a mysterious voice speaks thru the television in which it states, “I arth thou, thou art me. Ye who shalt open the door…” we then see Yu’s arm getting sucked into the television. Luckily, he was able to pull it out though he did not realized what just happened.

Yu would experience this same feeling again when he talks to his classmates the very next day. Yu, Youske and Chie assumed that it was near impossible that a person can be sucked into a television, so they decided to stop by Junes Department Store to see if it was possible on a larger television. Once they arrived in the store, they noticed a familiar image that they have seen the night before. Then before long, Yu sticks his hand inside a big screen television in which his arm gets sucked in just like before. Chie and Youske were both shocked at what happened, however since Youske was scared and was about to pee himself, he knocked himself, Yu and Chie into the television transporting them into another dimension.

Thus this is where the story get’s interesting. So to prevent spoilers for the most last exciting eight minutes of the episode, I am going to stop the review right here. Overall, my first impressions of the series were very surprising. I have to say that it was everything that I have read about on news sites and fan boards with a little more mixed in-between.

So I hope you enjoyed the first half of my review of Persona 4 The Animation. Part two in which I will cover episode two since this post was so long will be posted tomorrow. So until then, remember that there is a ton of great anime and manga out there. All you have to do is find it. Ltrs.

Afc First Looks-Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (English Dub)

February 16, 2010

FullMetalAlchemist-Brother-Hood-Episode-6-The-Road-Of-Hope-Free-Online

Hello and greetings fellow otaku,

Now as most of you may or may not have known, Adult Swim aired the first episode of the English dub of Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood last Saturday. Well for those of you were not able to catch it, here is your first look of the new series. Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood is a complete retelling of the original Fullmetal Alchemist Series in which it focuses more on the manga than the original series itself. But now for those of you who are unfamiliar with the original series, here is a brief overview of the series.

The series focuses on Edward and Alphonse Elric, two brothers who were bound by fate from trying to resurrect their dead mother by using Alchemy. However, they were unsuccessful by which they were punished for their actions in which Edward looses an arm and a leg and Alphonse loses his entire body but his soul is placed inside a suit of armor. Edward vows to find a way to restore their bodies in which he decided to become a State Alchemist. Ok, let’s fast forward about 51 episodes.

Now as I mentioned just a moment ago, FMA Brotherhood is a complete retelling of the original Fullmetal Alchemist series. The series features most of the original characters from the original series and a few new characters as well. The cast for the English dub features most of the original voice actors and actresses from the original series. Now I don’t know about you but if a series features the original cast, well that’s something to appreciate.

Overall Thoughts

Overall I feel that the English dub of FMA Brotherhood was really good. But it is still a little bit early to tell, but I will be watching both the dub and sub versions of the series in which I will give you guys a full review. So stay tuned everyone and until next time. Remember that their is a ton of great anime and manga out there, all you have to do is find it. Ltrs.

Afc First Looks-Naruto Shippuden

October 30, 2009

naruto-shippuden-promo-pic-by-gaara

Hello and greetings fellow Otaku,

I was going to have this posted yesterday, but it was a long day and I didn’t want to write a post that looks crappy, but anyway as promised here is an exclusive first look at the English dub of Naruto Shippuden.

As most of you Naruto fans already know, Naruto Shippuden picks up where the original series left off in which Naruto returns to the village hidden in the leaves after embarking a two and a half year training journey. The series features all your favorite characters including Lady Tsunade, Kakashi Hatake, Jiraiya the toad sage (Aka, The pervy sage), and Sakura Haruno just to name a few. We find out what has happened to Naruto over those past few years and we also get so see some great and some funny moments that you guys will remember from the original series.

My Verdict

After watching the premiere on Wednesday, I feel that the English dub of this series is excellent. Though many of you out there will probably disagree with me saying that the Japanese dub is better, keep in mind that the cast who is doing the series is the same cast that did the original series so you’ll still get the same quality of voice acting that you come to know so well. Keep in mind that their are some interesting parts within the first four episodes of this series, I will be fair to those who haven’t seen it yet and I will not tell you what happens. Overall this is an excellent start and I cant wait till next week to see what happens.

Where To Watch

Currently Viz media has released the first eight episodes on DVD which they are available now at your favorite retailers, they can also be downloaded via the itunes music store for $1.99 per episode or you can get a season pass for $22.99. You can also watch full episodes of the series for free on hulu, joost and other online video services. But for those of you who missed out on the premiere on Disney Xd on Wedensday night, the episodes are being rebroadcast tonight at 10:00pm EST\9:00pm CST. And don’t forget that new episodes will premiere every Wedensday at 8:30pm EST\7:30pm CST on Disney Xd.

So now that I shared my thoughts on the premiere, I would like to hear what you guys think. Share with me your opinions by leaving a comment here at Anime Full Circle or on our official facebook page. You never know, you comments may end up in a future post. That’s all for now, so until next time. Remember that their is a ton of great anime and manga out there, all you have to do is find it. Ltrs.
